We all know people struggling during the 2020 pandemic, but the Trejo family has been especially impacted financially, emotionally and physically. On January 12th and 13th at the age of 22, Brianna Trejo lost both her parents Cindy and Ruben just a day apart due to COVID. Brianna and her grandmother are currently staying in the home they shared with my friend Salina.
Ruben, Cindy and Brianna moved in with Salina to help her take care of her partner who was ill and stayed with her for several years. Due to the sudden loss of Brianna's parents Salina has taken on the role to continue to be her guardian as well as help care for her grandmother. The tragedy of losing Cindy and Ruben has left this family in need of financial help. On behalf of Brianna and her grandmother in the most devastating and humble of circumstances, we have set up this GoFundMe to help ask for any donations whatsoever to help ensure they're able to stay in their shared home and help with rent and bills while they try to adjust to losing her parents and the financial help they provided her while attending college.
I have witnessed Brianna and her grandmother go through an intolerable amount of hardship that none of us expected throughout these past few weeks. The very least she deserves is to be able to keep a roof over her head.
Thank you for your time and your generosity.
