It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Janelle Louise Blocker Svozil, a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Janelle passed away on August 9, 2025.

Janelle was a joyful, fun-loving spirit whose fierce advocacy for children—both her own and those she taught as a beloved teacher at Evergreen Middle School—left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Her greatest joy was being a mother to Colton and Brinley, and she poured her heart into nurturing their dreams. She shared a loving partnership with her husband, Brent, who now faces the unimaginable challenge of raising their children without her.

Janelle’s family are grieving deeply. As they navigate this sudden loss, they are also facing unexpected financial challenges in managing daily life and providing stability for their family during this difficult time. Arrangements for a celebration of her life will be shared in the coming days, and this fund will help support those needs as well.

This fund is set up to help cover the unexpected expenses following Janelle’s passing. The goal of $20,000 will help provide immediate financial assistance to Brent and the children as they navigate this difficult time, and help with day-to-day expenses so the family can focus on healing.
