Simmons Family - The Loss of Sweet Olivia

I don't know where to begin. Our dear friends, Grace and James, have lost their precious little girl, Olivia. She is the big sister of their family of 6. We have known the Simmons family since our oldest son was a year old. We have watched our families grow together and have laughed and cried at the craziness that is our lives with little ones.  We live 2 doors down from each other, and they are one of the reasons we don't want to leave our cul-de-sac. They are genuine, kind, giving, compassionate, and sincere. They are adventurous, fun-loving, down to earth, just good people. Both Grace and James work in the field of education - giving back daily to children and families. 

Sunday night, they took Olivia to Texas Children's, and she passed away Monday evening. We are all shaken by this tragedy, and I don't believe we can truly begin to understand their heartache. 

Darin and I, along with our other close neighbors, Dave and Andrea, and her dear friends and colleagues from Teach for America, would like to raise money for their family. The money would go towards:

1. Funeral/memorial  arrangements
2. Helping with cost of medical bills due to Olivia's surgery, hospital stay and care
3. To supplement income should either of them need to take extended time off work. Grace was planning to return to work yesterday after her recent maternity leave with Otis.
