Five weeks ago, Brandon and Jessica Sharp (Hughes) welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Jackson, into the world. Jackson completed their family of six and became the baby brother to Maddison, Carter and Liam. Their home was full of the love, chaos and happiness that comes with raising four children - exactly the life Jess cherished most.

Tragically, that happiness was shattered without warning.

Jess unexpectedly passed away from a devastating stroke resulting from a cerebral arterial dissection, leaving Brandon to navigate an unimaginable loss while caring for their four children.

There are no words that can adequately describe the heartbreak of losing Jess. She was the kind of person who made the people around her feel loved, cared for and supported. But more than anything, Jess was an incredible mother. Her children were her world, and she poured her entire heart into making sure they were happy, safe and loved.

Jess's love for children extended far beyond her own family. As an Early Childhood Educator, caring for and nurturing children was also her calling. She was studying to become a teacher, working toward a dream that reflected just how deeply she believed in children and their futures.

Even in the midst of this unimaginable tragedy, Jess continued to give. As a registered organ donor, she was able to save lives and give other families the gift of more time together. It is a final reflection of the generous, giving person she was throughout her life.

Now, Brandon and the kids need our help.

No one can take away the pain of losing Jess, but we can help ease some of the practical and financial burdens that come with such an unimaginable loss. We want Brandon to be able to focus on what matters most - being there for Maddison, Carter, Liam and baby Jackson as they learn how to move forward without their mom.

Funds raised will help with immediate funeral and memorial expenses, diapers, formula, childcare, everyday household needs and the many unexpected costs that come with this devastating loss. It will also provide Brandon with some financial security as he takes on life as a single father and works to give his four children the love and stability Jess would want for them.

Jess spent her life showing up for the people she loved. She cared for children, supported her family and friends, and gave so much of herself to others.

Now it is our turn to show up for Jess's family.
