Dear Friends and Colleagues,

 Gillian Sewell and her family really need our help right now. 


Some years ago when my son had a terrible accident we were                   
privileged to receive the care, support and love of the YMCA family.  It made a real difference at a time when we were under significant              pressure and as a family facing a huge challenge.

“Gillian’s boy Lewis 17 has an aggressive and rare cancer with Chemo starting tomorrow. His brother Matt 21 is in his final year studying
social work at Southampton Solent university. My husband Ian and I    have had our lives ripped apart in a year that was to be a year of     
celebration. Our silver wedding anniversary and Lewis’s 18th and
Matts  graduation. Now we spend our time by Lewis’s bedside praying he will pull  through.”

To help Gillian we have set up a go fund me page.  We asking individuals to support Gillian and the family at this time financially so that
whatever else is happening, they are not challenged by the immediate
concerns around finances.  Please click on the link and make a
donation.  I’ve set this up through YMCA Thames Gateway so there is a proper audit trail and so it will mean we can get monies to them very
quickly.

I spoke with Gillian at the weekend and she and family are extremely
grateful for the support that we are offering. With that in mind please
