I am so sorry to share that my sister Kate, and her boys Brandon and Jackson, have just experienced unimaginable loss, three days before Christmas.
My brother-in-law William fought fiercely for the past 20 months, with terminal metastasized cancer.
And only six months into the battle (Fall of 2024), his employer let him go -- eliminating their only income, health insurance, and life insurance too.
They have been enduring the devastating impacts of physical, emotional, and financial freefall since.
The great pride Wil took in providing for his family, and his stoic wish for privacy, didn't let them share their struggles or ask for help until now. But every bill (past, present, and future) is on Kate's heavy heart as she tries to comfort the boys and keep them as ok as possible...
I hope we can come together for this dear family --who has always given generously to their communities, schools, loved ones, and countless great causes-- so they can truly feel some blessed relief.
As I write this with tears in my eyes, realizing this is such a tough time for everyone, please know that gifts of any size are deeply and humbly appreciated.
Anyone who knows my sister and her boys knows the world needs their light to keep shining; I pray it always will. Thank you for your help and compassion in showing them they're not alone. Together, tomorrow comes. And with every new tomorrow, love and light bring precious peace.
