Supporting the Rios family

Late on Thursday 16th Jan, our sister’s wonderful husband Erick very suddenly passed away. We can scarcely believe it’s true. There was no warning whatsoever and we are in total disbelief. For those who knew Erick you will know what a truly lovely man he was. Funny, sincere, selfless, reliable, and strong in his Christian faith; there is not enough space here to do justice to all his many wonderful attributes.

He not only leaves MC but also their 2 daughters: Ruth (just-turned 8) and Rebekah (5).  He loved his 3 girls with all his heart, and that was apparent. We in Scotland, where he died during a long awaited family trip, grieve alongside Erick’s loving family in Peru. They are suffering his loss immensely. 

We ask primarily for prayer. Please will you ask God to give His strength and peace to our MC, and especially the wee girls as they try to find their way through life without their Papi. Pray also for us as the wider family as we try to support them in their incalculable loss. 

Many of you have expressed the wish to help in any way you can, and this is so kind and encouraging. We set up this page as a way of providing practical assistance with the many costs that will build up in the near future because of this tragedy; such as funeral, flights, and future costs for the girls. If you feel you can help at all, we know this will help our sister hugely. 

Thank you very much. Hold your loved ones close, because we are truly not promised tomorrow.
