Supporting the Rinella's through the loss of Shar
Donation protected
Our community lost a dearly loved member on April 13 when Shar Rinella was taken too early from this world.
In early March 2023, Shar was diagnosed with very aggressive brain cancer. She had a large brain tumor that impeded her ability to speak. Upon further medical investigation, the severity of the situation was evident and brain surgery was completed to remove as much of the brain tumor as possible. The surgery was successful but not all the tumor was capable of being removed. Shar had her speech restored for a short while but the tumor continued to quickly spread. After a short period back at home, she was forced back into the hospital ICU where they could provide the necessary care and treatments. Shar continued to fight and her family fought with her. The day before her passing she was able to listen to her daughter Hailey's final senior cello concert. Shar passed away with Matt holding her in his arms at the hospital.
Throughout the entire endeavor, Matt and the Rinella family (Hailey, Eva, and James) supported Shar in every way they could, providing whatever expensive medical treatments were required to improve her situation. This included extended stays in the hospital ICU, brain surgery and much more. The last thing that Matt wants to have to think about during this time is how to pay those bills. I want to encourage anyone who has the means to show support for the Rinella family in this difficult time. Let's make any financial burden go away and allow a stress-free celebration of Shar's life!
