One Day at a Time- The Razumny's ALS Journey
Donation protected
Hi All! Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe.
My husband Rich was diagnosed with ALS in February 2019 after a journey of scans, pokes, prods, doctors, NPs, and more. When we started seeking answers for Rich's deteriorating mobility, I was pregnant with our 2nd child. This period of time held a lot of uncertainty and stress, but also a large amount of anticipated joy for the birth of our daughter. The past three and a half years since Rich's diagnosis have seen many ups and downs. We continued to see loss in his mobility and now even more loss with his speech, swallowing and breathing.
I created this GoFundMe when we completed major modifications to our home in order to make it fully accessible, back in 2019. As Rich’s primary means for moving around was a wheelchair. The changes that were made included creating a fully handicap accessible bathroom, a deck and ramp out front, widening our driveway, and widening all inside doorways. We were also able to renovate our kitchen, which was the last inaccessible area in the house. Unfortunately, Rich died in November of 2023 before the kitchen project was completed. Continued donations will be used for basic groceries, expenses for our two children, along with our electricity and oil bills.
I will share more updates and information when I can, but for now, thank you so much for visiting our page. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to myself or a family member. For more information you can also read my blog on posthope.org/onedayatatime
