**UPDATE** We are blown away by the support from this community. It’s truly a testament to the generosity, kindness, and love that the Preisters show to the people in their lives. We have increased the goal in order to help cover the costs of this crisis, especially while the family waits for insurance. On Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, the Preister family home caught fire and is almost a total loss. Not only did they lose their home, they also lost their beloved dog Violet. Paul, the father and husband suffered second degree burns on his hand, arms, back, and head, but is expected to recover. This family has welcomed guests with open arms and hosted neighborhood parties in their back yard. The Preisters are some of the most wonderful people, and have given to their community and their neighbors for decades. The majority of their personal items and home were deemed unsalvageable, and now is our time to return their generosity and help them rebuild. This GoFundMe will go towards living quarters while they rebuild their home, rebuilding their home, and other costs associated with this tragedy.
