Supporting the Osemeke's while remembering Gideon

I am Juitana Bible Kelley, a cousin of Marissa Osemeke. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of the Bible family for the Osemeke family. Early Sunday 12/19/21, while heading home after visiting family and friends the entire Osemeke family was struck with tragedy. A young reckless driver collided with their vehicle, causing multiple injuries and claimed the life of young 5-year-old, Gideon Osemeke. Marissa’s injuries will require several after care appointments, prescriptions and follow-up appointments. However, 14-year-old Maverick, remains in critical condition in ICU with numerous injuries including severe skull fractures, facial injuries and broken bones.  Maverick will require several surgeries, extensive hospital stay, Rehab/physical therapy and long term after care. This GoFundMe is to assist Nico and Marissa with sweet Gideon’s funeral expenses, hospital expenses and also Counseling to assist them in processing their grief, loss and trauma.

 

If you know the Osemeke Family, you know they are loving, caring and compassionate people who value their friendships, their family and their church family. Their faith in the Lord is strong and will supply them the strength they will need through this long journey but they also need the support and encouragement from their community of family and friends.

 

Please, if you can donate even $5, it will be appreciated. All funds will go to the Osemeke family to assist with funeral arrangements, hospital expenses, long-term physical care, grief counseling and assisting in replacing their family vehicle.

 

Christmas will forever look and feel different for the Osemeke’s but please let’s pull together and show them that they are loved.

 

Please know this GoFundMe was not created to simply beg for money.  We are just a family trying to help Marissa and Nico in any way possible.  We definitely can not ease their emotional pain but we can assist with their financial burden.
