Hello, I am James' brother Anthony and I am putting together this fundraiser on behalf of James' new family that includes his wife, Kayla and newborn daughter, Amelia. Amelia was born three weeks ago and has been a blessing to our family. We have been so excited to welcome her and see James and Kayla fall naturally into their new roles as parents.

Amelia was excitedly brought home about two weeks ago but unfortunately started to struggle with completing a full feeding. Amelia's activity began to decrease due to the lack of nutrients and so James and Kayla made the decision to bring her to the ER. Amelia has been under the care of pediatric doctors and nurses since Tuesday, alongside her parents who have hardly left her side.

This has been unexpected and a difficult time for my brother and his family. The doctors decided to put in a feeding tube which has helped Amelia to slowly put back the weight she has lost. As of now, it is expected that Amelia will come home with a feeding tube until she is able to complete a full feeding on her own.

This is a hiccup in the road and we are expecting a full recovery for Amelia. Unfortunately though, with James and Kayla focused on being by their daughter's side, days have been missed at work for the both of them, and until Amelia can have the feeding tube removed, Kayla returning to work as planned will be put on pause. Due to this, the expenses of moving into their new apartment this month while sustaining living needs is making this an even more challenging and stressful time.

I know that James and Kayla have many people who love them and so I am creating this fund to put the word out of their situation and allow anyone who feels a pull to help lighten their burden. I know that any help will be deeply appreciated. It will also give these new parents some peace of mind and the ability to fully focus on their daughter.
