Supporting the LOVE

"Life brings us challenges, and 2020 has undoubtedly dished them out to all of us this year. These obstacles come in all shapes and sizes. My latest challenge is the biggest one I have faced to date...which is ironic because it’s microscopic. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer." ~ My Right Boob is Trying to Kill Me written by Heather Love.
Changing seasons this September brought our dearest Heather some difficult news - best captured in Heather's own words, in her blog.
As Heather has mentioned to me every time we speak, everyone has been amazing - offering so much support and love. THANK YOU for that!
To no surprise, everyone is also asking how they can help. If you were to ask Heather today, as it was yesterday when I asked, her response would be, "I just don't know at this point." Her freezer is packed, and her heart is warm. And I'm aware, talking about any of it, actually stresses her out quite a bit. I think we'd all agree - stress is the last thing we want Heather (or the boys) to have to manage now.
To help Heather, and to take the stress of this 'to-do' off of her, I've suggested she allow me to provide friends, family, and community the option to support via a GoFundMe. That way, as needs arise, Heather can manage with ease via our donations. Understanding Heather will need to go on Medical leave soon, this will also be a great way to supplement during that time. Your financial support can help with unknown / needed costs. Medical and not.
Rick will also be sharing some other suggestions on her blog, gift cards and such. But for those of you inclined/able to provide a financial support, this makes it easy. For you. For Heather.
Thank you for all the love and support you're providing our dearest friend! We're confident that Heather will beat this - but it's going to be a long journey, sure to provide many unexpected turns to navigate.
Heather and the boys appreciate everything! You can follow her progress (and amazing writing skills) in her blog: https://www.myrightboobistryingtokillme.com/
Thank you for your support!!! Thank you for your donations!!! Thank you for your virtual love!!! Please keep the warm, positivity and prayers coming! #FuckCancer
