Dierre Smith Sr was only 25 years old when his life was taken away on Sunday, March 31 leaving a grieving family and children.  We are Dierre's friends and teachers, banding together to provide support for the family's funeral costs and to set up a savings account for Dierre's children. Dierre was one of the kindest and most caring people we had the good fortune to know. He was a gifted actor, director and video producer who dreamed big and had every reason to believe his dreams would come true with hard work and enormous talent.  I was Dierre's middle school drama teacher and I have volunteered to be in charge of this fundraiser,  distributing the funds to his family.  More importantly, we wish to make an impact on the lives of his children so that they will know the effect their dad had upon his schoolmates, teachers, friends, and family. Friends are encouraged to send us video tributes to be compiled into a tribute reel for the children.
