At 4am Tuesday 8 December 2020, I woke to discover that my house was completely engulfed in flames.  By the sheer grace of God, my son Kane and our two dogs (Rommel and Pogo) made it out of the house with nothing except what we were wearing.  Now after working twelve years for a local charity that supports battered women in need, I find myself in a position seeking assistance.

The fire consumed everything and 30 years of memories were wiped away, and like many people today, I was living pay check to pay check struggling.  Now, as a result of being unable to afford insurance on my home, my worst nightmare has been realized.  This GoFundMe campaign is to allow for me and my son to secure a place to rent and to purchase the very basics required (shelter, food and clothes).


I realize that these are tough times for everyone and any assistance that you could provide at our time of need would be incredible and would immediately help us reestablish our lives and allow me and my son to be safe from COVID during the holiday season.
