Supporting the Indigenous Community in Ottawa

Donation protected
The Ontario Native Women's Association (ONWA) has created this GoFundMe to support the community agencies within the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition.

We have an opportunity to collectively come together. As we begin to recover from the COVID-19 public health crisis, each of us must do our part to protect the most vulnerable members of our communities. Key resources are needed to support safety, healing and wellness. Let’s work together and raise money for the Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) community and show them that we are standing with them in solidarity.

Any donation will help make an impact. Miigwetch, Marsee, Matna

About this initiative:

Robyn Knickle, a young non-Indigenous woman, spoke out against inequality and violence and brought together community by creating a GoFundMe campaign to raise $5,000.00 for ONWA’s Charitable Foundation. Inspired by Robyn's initiative, ONWA has created this GoFundMe campaign for the community agencies within the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition who have been collectively dealing with increased challenges with limited to no resources and supports.

All proceeds will go to the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition through the support of Minwaashin Lodge.
