In the early morning hours of January 12, 2025, our gracious Heavenly Father decided the time had come to take Kyle Hermes home to Himself. Kyle closed his eyes in sleep that night and opened them the next morning to the joys of heaven. Kyle’s departure from this life to life eternal came suddenly and unexpectedly.

Kyle was dearly loved by his family and friends, and all who got a chance to know him. While he loved life here and always looked forward to trying (and excelling at) new things, he often would talk about how he couldn’t wait until the day that he got home to heaven and how death didn’t scare him. Well, Kyle, you win this round, and we can’t wait to play some rounds with you there!

A visitation will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI on Sunday, January 19 from 2-4 PM.

A second visitation will be held on Monday, January 20 from 2-4:30 PM with the funeral to follow.

The extended family of Kyle and many others who cherished Kyle’s friendship are finding ways to help support his wife, Hannah, and children, Ava, Emma, and Noah, in this difficult time. Despite Hannah not wanting to ask for help, we are raising funds that will go directly to the Hermes Family to help offset the expenses they will incur as a family going forward, such as their children’s education.
