Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to ask for your help for a beloved member of our community. She’s a self employed community worker who wears many hats in supporting others. But this summer her health took an unexpected turn. She’s been sick on and off all summer and this has really impacted her well being, her ability to work, and her finances.

Recently, doctors recommended a necessary, and life changing surgery. While the procedure itself will only take a day, her recovery will require at minimum one month of bed rest. This was not a step she imagined having to take right now, and the reality of it has been overwhelming.

Even while navigating extreme and unpredictable pain, she has continued to show up for her community in the ways she can, a true testament to her care, resilience, and generosity of spirit.

Now it’s our turn to show up for her. We’re raising $4,000 to help cover medical and living expenses connected surgery and recovery. These funds will go to rent, remaining medical costs after insurance, monthly bills and basic needs while unable to work.

Any amount you can contribute, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and help ease the financial burden during this challenging time.
