Supporting the Hansen Family in Loving Memory of Evan
Donation protected
This fund has been created by friends of the Hansen family, with Michelle and John’s awareness and reluctant but humbled agreement. While they would never ask for help themselves, they understand that in this time of unimaginable loss, accepting support is necessary, and they are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love from their community.
Evan was deeply loved, and his loss has left a void that words cannot fill. As Michelle and John begin to navigate life without him, we want to offer support in any way we can.
The aftermath of this unexpected and devastating loss has brought with it significant financial burdens, including the financial realities involved in seeking justice for Evan. In addition, there will likely be a need for extended time away from work to grieve, heal, and to simply make it through each day. No parent should have to return to daily routines while carrying such profound sorrow. Our hope is that this fund can ease some of the financial weight so they can focus on what matters most right now, honoring Evan’s memory and taking care of themselves and each other.
All funds raised will go directly to Michelle and John to support them in the days and months ahead. Additionally, in the coming weeks, the family plans to establish a memorial fund by joining with an organization that is dedicated to supporting anti-bullying and harassment education. Their hope is to prevent other families from experiencing the same heartbreak they are now enduring, and to honor Evan’s legacy by addressing bullying head-on, before its devastation takes more children from their families unnecessarily.
Thank you for showing what love and community mean in life’s most difficult moments, and for honoring Evan by standing with the Hansen family as they seek peace, healing — and, in time, justice for Evan.
