On Thursday evening, May 21st, while Shelby, Don and their family were enjoying their son's baseball game, their house suffered a devastating fire resulting in the loss of not only their home and all of their belongings, but also their beloved family dog, Mario.

Shelby, Don and their children are such a wonderful part of our community. Their oldest son, Maddox, is a 4th grader and an exceptional athlete - a standout on his minor league Cal Ripken baseball team. Garrett is a fun-loving, kind and spirited PreK student, and their youngest daughter, Gemma, is the sweetest, cuddliest, toddler. Shelby is an incredible teacher at our local YMCA Enrichment Program, and gives herself daily to make the lives of the children in our community better each and every day.
