We are raising funds to support two remarkable occupational therapists, Daniel and Victoria, who have dedicated their lives to helping children with autism and ADHD. As neurodivergent professionals themselves, they have built a deeply compassionate and inclusive community rooted in understanding and lived experience.
Their family is now facing an unimaginable loss. Their beloved 14-year-old daughter, Alexie-Savannah, passed away suddenly, and they are grieving while also caring for Chloe, their 10-year-old daughter, navigating a four-month pregnancy (also a girl who will be named Hailey), and supporting one another through this devastating time.
This fundraiser is meant to ease financial stress—helping with lost income, medical and memorial-related costs, and daily needs—so they can focus on grieving, healing, and caring for their family.
They have shown up for countless children and families with care, advocacy, and heart. Now it's our turn to show up for them.
Any contributions or shares are deeply appreciated.
Update: Daniel and Victoria are extremely grateful for all the support they have received. Please view updates on their IG, Synergy Approach page.
Rosemary, Vanessy, Bruna and I, Anne Marie, are friends and colleagues with Daniel and Victoria. We were present while Alexie was in the hospital and formed this fundraiser in efforts to provide emotional and financial support. Deidra, Alexie’s aunt is the beneficiary who is receiving the funds and has used them for the funeral and burial expenses, such as, the cost of a casket, burial expenses, and the cost of a headstone. The remaining funds will be sent to Alexie's parents through Deidra. She will be sending the funds via wire to the parents once everything is complete, so that they will have full access to every remaining penny of the funds and take their time to grieve and heal with Chloe and unborn Hailey, while slowly returning to work.
