Supporting the Fosters Cancer Journey
Donation protected
My family has been fortunate to move into a neighbourhood with the most amazing "mom club" around. Central to this neighborhood is a built-in friendship group for my children and me. I'm saddened to be creating this fundraiser because that means someone integral in so many lives has a hardship to bear that requires the grace and support of those who love and care for them.
Shelley Foster first noticed a lump in late February when she was directed to make an appointment at the breast clinic. Shelley, her husband Tim, and their twin girls Madison and Hailey immediately drove to Edmonton, where a Mammogram and Ultrasound were performed, leading to an immediate diagnosis of breast cancer.
Shelley, Tim and the girls then traveled back to Edmonton 4 days after returning to Fort McMurray for a biopsy appointment. This was a costly trip because, on top of hotel, fuel, food etc., the family's only vehicle broke down at the cost of $900. This month, the Fosters have also had to replace their hot water heater, costing another $1000.
On March 22, Shelley and her family head to Edmonton again to meet the surgeon and go over her treatment plan where she should receive her surgery date.
This fundraiser intends to support Shelley, Tim, Madison, and Hailey while they travel this journey as a family. There has already been so much love and support received by Shelley's coworkers, which has thankfully supported them to this point.
Shelley is a strong woman with faith and loves being a mother to her two beautiful twin girls, Madison and Hailey, with her husband Tim. She is an integral part of our "Mom club," and I bet she is also an essential part of your world.
Please donate, share this fundraiser, and send prayers of healing and strength to Shelley and her family.
