In Loving Memory of Alfred Whitley Jr.

On February 18, 2026, Alfred Whitley Jr., 81, peacefully entered into his eternal rest with the Lord. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and is now in the presence of our Lord.

Alfred was a quiet, humble, and deeply loving man. Though introverted by nature, he welcomed everyone — whether into his home or simply into conversation — with warmth and sincerity. His love for his family was unwavering. He would do anything for those he loved, and he showed that love consistently through his actions, not just his words.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Alfred served during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Germany. His service further shaped the discipline, integrity, and strong work ethic that defined his life. He worked faithfully for over 50 years with Flying Tigers, later FedEx, rarely missing a day until his health no longer allowed him to continue. As the eldest of thirteen children, raised in Louisiana, he carried the values of responsibility, resilience, and devotion throughout his life.

His passing was sudden and has left a deep void in the lives of his sons, Lakeith and Derrick; daughter-in-law, Maria; his beloved grandchildren; and his remaining siblings, Roosevelt, Rosemary, Thelma, and Frances.

We are raising funds to help cover mortuary(cremation/casket costs) funeral services, and a celebration of life that honors the simple, humble, and loving man he was. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden on our family during this incredibly difficult time.

Alfred never wanted to be a burden to anyone. In that same spirit, we humbly ask for any support you feel led to give. However, if you are unable to donate, we simply ask for your prayers through these difficult times and please consider sharing this page or leaving a favorite memory of Alfred “Al” in the comments—reading your stories brings us a lot of comfort.

**Any remaining funds will be gifted to a local ministry in Alfred's honor, continuing the spirit of generosity he lived by.**

Thank you for helping us honor a man who lived quietly, loved deeply, and served faithfully.
