Missy was diagnosed with “cancer” mid January, THIS YEAR. She was diagnosed with a SPECIFIC, type of cancer, Mid February. She was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. Stage 4.
Well, melanoma is not reactive to chemotherapy. So, she was able to start on an immunotherapy treatment plan, and she did. Two treatments in, She got very sick, causing her to be at a loss for her necessary nutrition, and dehydrated. At such an early stage of treatment, her immune system is still suffering trying to help her body battle out the “bad”.
fast forward- 1 week later: back in the hospital, running extremely high fever. Later in her hospital stay, she was diagnosed with a Urinary Tract Infection.
Released… put on antibiotics…
Day 1.5 of being home…
This UTI has now turned into a sepsis infection. They (the doctors) still do not forsure know the root cause of the symptoms she is having at this time. Her body is reacting very bad to the infection. She has been placed on life support.
