On Sunday, July 5, 2026, Sgt. Scott Ries tragically lost his life in the line of duty at just 54 years old.

Scott dedicated his life to serving and protecting others. He was a police officer, a husband, a father, a friend, and a valued member of his community. His loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Scott leaves behind his loving wife and two daughters, who are now facing the heartbreaking loss of their husband and father while trying to navigate the difficult days ahead.
