Our school community is devastated by the news of the loss of Patricia Harris, a parent at Van Ness Elementary in Washington, DC. She was a mother to three children, ages 14, 8 and 4.

An innocent bystander, her life was needlessly taken in a drive-by shooting on December 21, 2023.

We cannot bring her back. But we can try to wrap our community around these children and their grandmother to do what we can to help in this terrible time.

We are raising funds to help defray the cost of the funeral and to provide the family with funds to support the children's needs.
