Our names are Charlotte Dumaine and John Bianchi, Step Mother and Step Father of Jacob. We are in shock and disbelief.

The weight of this loss has our hearts completely and utterly shattered.

Our son Jacob is in Palliative care as he has succumbed to his battle with mental illness.

Jake is the light of our lives.

Our first born son. Our everything.

He is a father, a son, a grandson, a friend to many and the world’s BEST big brother.

He leaves behind a family that adores him, including his 10 month old son Elijah. He loved him with every ounce of his being.

It breaks our heart to know that he will not have the chance to watch him grow up.

Though as hard as this is for us, Jacob decided one day to be an organ donor. Knowing that he can potentially save lives and help many many more is such a blessing, and we are so proud of him for this. He always wanted to be able to do something amazing for the world, and what a wonderful way to do it. He is a hero.

We are opening up this page as we have been asked how people can help to support Jacob’s family during this time.
