Supporting the Family of Anthony Thornton
On October 23, 2025, 17-year-old Anthony Thornton, a senior at Apollo High School, was involved in a devastating automobile accident. He was life-flighted to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team and countless prayers, multiple tests have shown no brain activity, and his family is now facing the unimaginable.
Anthony is the kind of young man everyone loved — soft-spoken, kind-hearted, and full of life. He had a great sense of humor, a passion for working with his hands, and dreams of becoming a mechanic after graduation. He loved fishing, playing video games, working alongside his dad, and spending time with his friends. He was only a few short months away from stepping into adulthood and chasing his dreams.
This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden on his parents, Ronnie and Penny Thornton, as they face overwhelming medical and potential funeral expenses. No parent should ever have to go through this kind of heartbreak or worry about finances while saying goodbye to their child.
Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly to Ronnie and Penny to help cover expenses and allow them to focus on honoring Anthony’s memory.
Please keep the Thornton family in your thoughts and prayers, share this campaign, and if you’re able, donate to support them through this unthinkable time.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.
