Linda Tate was born to Frances Brooks and Larky Hudson on August 26, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. She attended elementary school at Roswell B. Mason and then went on to high school at Farragut Career Academy. She worked several jobs in Chicago at a young age. When she relocated with her 4 children to California, she worked at South Central Bell. After she relocated in 1993 with 5 children to Jackson, Mississippi, she took up the work of a mail carrier for the U.S.P.S.

What was important to Lin was her relationship with her God, Jehovah, and as a mother who was working and taking care of her children, she did what she could to help her children get a close relationship with him as well.

Funds will be used towards memorial services.
