In Loving Memory of Jacob Labib and Mina Sabet

My name is Lynn Perez, and I serve as the Head of Soccer Operations for SoCal Reds. It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you today on behalf of our entire community.

We are grieving the heartbreaking loss of two of our own, Jacob Labib and Mina Sabet, who tragically passed away in a car accident on Saturday, August 23rd while returning from a tournament. Jacob and Mina were more than just teammates; they were friends, leaders, and an important part of our soccer family. Their warmth, kindness, and passion for the game left an impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.

In the days since this tragedy, many of you have asked how you can help. In response, with permission, we have created a GoFundMe to support the Labib and Sabet families during this unimaginably difficult time. The funds raised will go directly to the families to assist with funeral expenses and provide comfort as they navigate their grief.

While no donation can ease the heartbreak of this loss, your support is a way to honor Jacob and Mina’s memory and show their families that they are not alone. Whether through a contribution or by sharing the link with others, every gesture is meaningful and deeply appreciated.
