Supporting the families
Donation protected
IMPORTANT UPDATE - Due to hot weather and health and safety concerns the walking team have decided to re schedule the 10k walk in Hainault Forest to Sunday 16th September starting at 3pm at the Café in Hainault Forest.
We have all be numbed by the numbers of young lives, in particularly black boys, lost due to gun and knife crime.
What about the families left behind whose lives have been shattered forever? How do siblings cope when brothers and sisters are no longer there? How do parents deal with the grief and the dreams they had for their children growing up will never come true?
We want to support these families and make sure they are aided through the most difficult time in their lives.
Help us do this and support these families with us by either joining us on our 10K walk on Sunday 5th August 2018 in Hainault Forest or donate.
We are going to be doing a 10K walk on Sunday 16th August to raise money for 2 charities; the Flavasum Trust and Another Night of Sisterhood.
The Flavasum Trust support organisations to use theatre and film to engage with young people in schools and raise awareness of the dangers of carrying knives and other types of weapons. They also support the families directly who have had a child loss by offer group counselling, mentoring and other social programs.
Another Night of Sisterhood support and work with families who have had to go through the after effects of gun and knife crime. As soon as a family hears of the loss of a child, they go and give immediate practical support. They run awareness workshops in schools for both parents and children, as well as offering outreach programmes each month on topics such as knife crime and youth violence.
We want to make an impact on the lives of these families so your donation is crucial in us achieving this.
WANTED - Healthy, fun, loving walkers!
Come and join us walk and raise money for this good cause.
