A Brief Overview
Bob Dunn is currently receiving hospice care after a difficult and courageous battle with cancer.
What began in June with unexpected weight loss and abdominal pain led to a diagnosis in October of advanced pancreatobiliary cancer with peritoneal spread. Despite three rounds of chemotherapy and multiple hospitalizations, his condition has progressed more quickly than anyone hoped.
His wife, Kim, and their four children are going through an incredibly difficult time, focused on spending meaningful time together as a family.
With mounting medical expenses and a sudden shift in income, they are facing significant financial pressure at the same time they are navigating end-of-life care.
This fundraiser is intended to provide stability and peace of mind so they can focus on what matters most, being together.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps ease a very real burden. If you are not in a position to give, sharing this page is another meaningful way to support this family.
Their Story & Why I’m Asking for Help
I am organizing this fundraiser for my brother-in-law Bob, my sister Kim, and their children Robert, Patrick, William, and Amanda.
I have known Bob since high school, when he and Kim first started dating. Over the years, I have watched them build a life rooted in service, hard work, and quiet generosity.
Bob built a 30-year career in telecommunications and was known for his integrity and steady leadership. For more than 20 years, he also served as an active Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. He was honored with the Family of the Year Award, participated in the Order of the Arrow, and mentored multiple Eagle Scouts. His impact on young people extends far beyond his own family.
Kim serves as the Special Education Department Secretary for Cypress Fairbanks ISD, supporting students, teachers, and staff across the district. Service has always defined their family. If you know Bob and Kim, you know their character. Kim would give the shirt off her back without hesitation, and Bob has spent his life quietly doing the same for others. Now it is our turn to stand beside them.
Bob has long carried the primary financial responsibility for the household. All four of their children have moved back home and have stepped up with strength and compassion to support their parents during this difficult time.
How Donations Will Help
Funds raised will help cover:
- Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance
- Mortgage, utilities, and essential household obligations
- Daily living expenses during this transition
- Unexpected needs that arise during end-of-life care
- Financial stability for Kim and the family in the months ahead
Thank you for surrounding the Dunn family with care, prayer, and compassion.
