On New Year’s Eve, Adam and Lauren were at home caring for their two young children. Unexpectedly, Lauren experienced a seizure as a result of epilepsy. When this occurred, her husband, Adam, ran to get assistance from a neighbor. In the chaos, Adam fell and ruptured his Achilles tendon. EMS transported both Adam and Lauren via ambulance. Anyone who knows the Duncan family knows they are quick to offer help, but don’t readily accept help from others. However, Adam who works as a PTA, will be off from work for an extended period of time. He will be undergoing surgical repair on 1/3 and extensive rehabilitation will follow. Adam and Lauren’s two young children attend daycare, and the cost of childcare is a significant burden while being unable to work. They are also incurring transportation costs while Adam is unable to drive, and additional medical expenses as related to the incident. This is all in addition to their typical financial obligations including their home. I am absolutely certain that any support for the Duncans while they recover would be unexpected but very appreciated. Please remember them in prayer as they navigate these challenges.
