Supporting the Contreras family

My dear cousin, Katie McDonald Contreras and her husband, Abner, live a life devoted to serving The Lord. Katie, Abner, and their two children Vanessa and Ethan currently reside in Guatemala, and Katie & Abner are full time missionaries. They rely heavily on monetary donations, and they gladly "do without" to wholeheartedly serve The Lord. We often take for granted the time that we get to spend with our family and the ease of traveling to and from to do so. Katie would love nothing more than an opportunity to come "home" to the USA and have time to spend with her family, as well as share her heart for their mission work, while here. However, there are just not allotted funds for them to do this. Katie's great Aunt Nell, who is very close to Katie's heart, will celebrate her 100th birthday in March, and there are plans for a large family celebration. Can we show them our love, support, and thankfulness for their efforts, and try to raise enough funds for plane tickets to get them here for this special time? Any amount donated would be very much appreciated. Just think, if every individual reading this withheld- one month's dining out costs, coffee budget, leisure activity budget, etc. and contributed that amount- we could make this happen for them, and we wouldn't miss that at all! Please prayerfully consider this request, and pray with us that Katie and her family can get the funds they need to afford to have an opportunity to be with family and share with others what God is doing in & with their lives.
