On April 27th, 2021 Vlady Calice tragically passed away. Vlad was a U.S. Army flight medic who took pride in his duties. He was a loving father, husband, son, and brother. He was cherished by so many and will be greatly missed.
Please consider helping his wife Lauren and their daughters (Audrey - 4, Eleanor - 11 months) as they recover from this heartbreaking tragedy and make their way without their husband and father. Any amount is appreciated and goes directly to Lauren to help with funeral expenses and basic needs for the family as they heal.
Some words from Vlad's mother, Lisa -
"At such a young age, Vlad determined that he wanted to be a hero so that he could save people. He quickly decided the best way to do this was to pursue a career as a fire fighter, a lifelong dream that he realized at the age of 18.
He never gave up his dream of saving people, and I have a feeling he saved many people in his short time on this earth. He was so proud of his career choice, but I could tell the long years of being apart from family, his wife, daughters, and close friends for extended periods of time was wearing on this big-hearted young man.
Vlady never hesitated to help anyone in need. No matter the task he was there. It was an honor for those of us lucky enough to know him. My hope is that we can help his family the way that he helped everyone else."
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.”
