Supporting the Ballard Family Through Unimaginable Loss
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Carina, and I want to share the heartbreaking story of Lucas and Savannah Ballard, and their sweet family. No parent should ever have to experience the devastating loss of a child, but on September 9th, at her scheduled OB appointment Savannah received the unimaginable news no mother should ever hear: “We can’t find the baby’s heartbeat.”
She was told to go right to Labor and Delivery where it was confirmed that baby Dallin Kevin Bradford Ballard had passed away, just days before his due date on September 27th. Savannah was immediately admitted to labor and delivery, where, on the evening of September 10th, 2024, baby Dallin was born. Weighing 6 Pounds, 1 Ounce, and 21 inches long. He was beautiful, with a full head of hair, perfect little features, and 10 tiny fingers and toes.
As the family navigates this tragic and unexpected loss, I am humbly asking for your support to help them during this time. Lucas works full-time, often putting in many hours of overtime to support Savannah, a devoted stay-at-home mother and homeschooler to their twin daughters Arabella and Brinnley (age 7), and their little boy Colden (age 2). Lucas has been granted 5 days of bereavement leave, starting on September 9th, but the need for additional time off under FMLA is crucial to allow the family to grieve together.
Currently, Savannah is still in the hospital due to medical complications, and neither she nor Lucas have been home with their other three children since receiving the devastating news. Their son, baby Dallin, has been taken to the funeral home, and the family is facing not only emotional but financial burdens from this tragedy.
I am asking for donations to assist the Ballards with memorial or service costs, as well as to help cover the financial strain of Lucas taking additional unpaid time off work to be with his family. Every contribution, even just $1, will help ease their burden and provide the time they need to grieve as a family.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
