Hello Friends of Taya!
When she moved into her new apartment, she found out she had an unwanted roommate living with her… well we should say IN her.
Shortly after moving into her new dream apartment, Taya found out she has what is called a Pituitary Macroadenoma which is a really big word for a slow growing NONCANCEROUS tumor on her pituitary gland in her brain. This has caused a variety of symptoms but most recently vision impairment in her left eye.
Obviously this is incredibly scary to find out but luckily her doctor’s are confident that they will be able to remove it. The surgery is taking place on 5/24/24. Anyone who knows Taya knows that she hates asking for help, laughs off everything she deals with and typically her biggest issue she faces regulary is her deaf, mischievous kitten. However, this is something she’s allowing us to help her with- with some convincing.
She will have the surgery and then be in recovery for about 2 months; which means 2 months of not working- after just paying to move into her new place. To say she’s stressed about this is the understatement of the century.
We are hoping to help alleviate the pressure of Pituitaya (as she’s lovingly calling it) on both her brain and her finances. Please consider donating to help cover her costs of living, medical bills and other various expenses that will come up during her surgery and recovery.
Can we all just agree though… Taya WOULD have a brain tumor; and if that or any other joke has offended you, you don’t know Pituitaya at all.
