Supporting Tammy's Kids—Gel, Natalya, Bella, Troy

On the evening of Monday, May 22nd, Tammy and her ten-year-old son Troy were headed home to San Mateo from Southern California when they were involved in a car accident. Troy is in recovery, but Tammy did not survive.

Tammy was and will forever be loved by many. She loved fiercely, deeply, and with a full heart. Her contributions to her children, family, friends, work, and community are immeasurable and she chose careers in service to others in education and ultimately as a Labor & Delivery nurse. She was passionate about music and directed many memorable holiday church programs. Over the years, she welcomed hundreds of students into her home for piano lessons.

Tammy was a force of goodness and her resilience was incomparable. Her influence will reverberate beyond her passing. If you knew her, you will never forget the sound of her infectious laughter, her fierce loyalty, the warmth of her light, endless compassion, and kindness to others.

With the permission of Tammy’s parents and siblings: Lynda, Helen, Alex, and Sam, and on behalf of Tammy’s beloved children: Angelikah (24), Natalya (21), Isabella (17), and Troy (10), we have generated this fundraiser for the immediate and future needs of this incredible, one-of-a-kind, and magical family. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Tammy’s children. While nothing can replace their mother’s absence, we hope to ensure her children are taken care of financially. Tammy was a single-mom who worked tirelessly and cheerfully, motivated by love and dedication for her children. 

While a small portion will go to cover some of the funeral costs, funds will go directly to Tammy’s children: Troy (10), Isabella (17), Natalya (21) and Angelikah (24), to assist with future living costs including monthly rent, utilities, meals, car insurance, health coverage, education, and grief counseling.

As Tammy's best friend and auntie to her children, and on behalf of Tammy's family, I've set up this campaign to raise funds for Tammy's children—Gel, Natalya, Bella, and Troy. The funds will be transferred into a trust set up as a bank account with Tammy's children as the beneficiaries. Tammy's sister Helen and I will be the co-trustees and will help manage the funds to go directly to Tammy's children for living costs including monthly rent, utilities, meals, car insurance, health coverage, education, and grief counseling.
