In April 2023, while 7 months pregnant with her third son, Tami discovered a lump in her breast. What was thought to be a cyst was later diagnosed as Stage 3 breast cancer in October 2023. She began aggressive chemotherapy in November, followed by a double mastectomy, and is now scheduled for a hysterectomy in less than two weeks.

Tami has bravely battled breast cancer, and it has been an incredibly challenging journey for her and her family. Despite the tough treatments and the emotional toll, she’s shown remarkable strength and resilience. Throughout this fight, her spirit remains unshaken, even as she navigates the physical and financial struggles that come with cancer treatment. James, balancing work and school, and Tami, who’s unable to work during her recovery, have been facing it all on a single income. But with the love and support of those around them, they continue to push forward with hope and determination.
