One of our team members and a very dear friend, Sunny, is going through an incredibly difficult time right now. Sunny has been in the hospital for the past three weeks, and while we don’t yet know how long his recovery will take, we do know that he and his family need the support of their community.

Sunny is someone who has always lived life with courage and heart. A world traveler and risk-taker, he came to Canada with the dream of building a beautiful life for himself and his family. Through hard work and determination, he has done just that. Sunny is a valued part of our team, but more importantly he is a friend who brings kindness, positivity, and dedication to everyone around him.

Last May, Sunny and his wife Bipra welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Aurora, into the world. At just 9 months old, Aurora is the light of their lives. Sunny is a deeply devoted father and husband who works tirelessly to support his family. Alongside being part of our team, Sunny is also a professor at a local college, where he shares his knowledge and passion with his students.

Because of his current hospitalization, Sunny is unable to work, and unfortunately he only receives income from one of his roles. His work as a professor does not provide paid leave in this situation, meaning he is currently missing a significant portion of the income his family depends on.

While the Terracotta team will continue to rally around Sunny and support him however we can, emotionally, financially, and in any way possible, we are hoping our wider community might also be able to lend a hand during this difficult time.

We have started this GoFundMe in hopes of helping ease some of that financial burden so Sunny can focus fully on healing and recovery, while Bipra and baby Aurora have the support they need during this uncertain time.

Sunny has always shown up for the people around him — as a teammate, teacher, friend, husband, and father. Now we hope our community can come together and show up for him.
