Update: Supporting Steve Manyozo's family

Update

Treasured and loved husband, friend and colleague Steve Manyozo sadly passed away on 6 October.

He was a passionate injury researcher and a shining light in Africa. Steve was the Director of the Road Safety Research and Implementation Unit in Malawi and an esteemed Alumni Fellow of the Global Road Safety Leadership Course, among other important roles in the injury prevention fields.

More importantly, he was a wonderful colleague, and a much loved husband and friend.

We warmly thank all who have supported this fundraiser to-date. The generosity of our community is truly special.

With the permission of those who have donated, the funds already collected will be used to support Steve's family in subsequent burial and funeral costs. Further, we will work with Steve's family and colleagues to support them and honour Steve's legacy, including further essential support to Steve's family during this time, and we are exploring scholarship options to honour Steve and his contribution to our field.

All future donations will also support these efforts - and we thank those who can donate.
