Supporting Steve for Dixie

Our beloved mom, Dixie, has entered paradise. We will continue to carry her torch of love, light, and faith to get us through the hard days ahead.

Her kids would like to focus support on mom’s life partner over the last 26 years, Steve Wright. Steve brought so much love, laughter and happiness into mom’s life, and we couldn’t be more grateful for how he lived every day dedicated to her. He worked hard to provide for the two of them, allowing her to relax and enjoy life on her terms. In her words, he did his best to “spoil” her daily. Steve was mom’s soulmate.

Steve is one of the most selfless people, making him a perfect match for mom. As a stepdad, he helped raise Sonia to be a kind and respectful, hard-working person with a devotion to her family. Steve will drop anything to spend his time helping on projects, babysitting with mom, and going to his grandson’s baseball games. “Papa Steve,” as called by his grandchildren, loves to play sports with and buy the latest gadgets for his grandchildren.

Mom’s unexpected loss has left an enormous hole in Steve’s heart. We want to surround him with love and support. Our fundraising effort is to help supplement mom’s income for Steve over the next six months. In lieu of flowers, food, etc., for us kids, we would like to support him for his dedication to our family and most importantly, mom. All proceeds raised will go to Steve.
