Supporting Stacy through her Cancer

One of the warmest, kindest and most fun-loving people in our life - our good friend and loved one Stacy Kornick has been diagnosed with breast cancer at just 52.

Needing to take so much time off work while focusing on her health and a future with her husband Steve, Stacy deserves all our support.

She’s passionate, fiercely caring, and one of the most resilient people you’ll ever meet. Stacy is well-loved not only in and around our area, where she has been working full-time as a self-employed massage therapist, Stacy is also a Yoga and Flex teacher at Genesis Health Club Spanish Springs.

She gives her whole heart to her students and has spent the last few years lifting up and caring for many of us in the community of exercise and well being.

But 2025 has brought heartbreak and challenges that no one should ever have to face.

In early May, Stacy found a small, painless lump under her arm. It didn’t feel right — and she trusted her gut. After seeing her doctor and going through a whirlwind of scans and appointments, Stacy was told the news no one ever wants to hear.

Stacy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. There is no known family history of breast cancer in Stacy’s family, which has made this diagnosis all the more shocking and devastating for her and everyone who loves her.

She’ll be starting chemotherapy very soon, followed by surgery.

Stacy has now requested indefinite leave from her role as teacher at Genesis Health Club. Stacy is facing cancer treatment with a diminished income, all while still trying to keep up with her massage business, She simply can’t shoulder this financial weight alone.

So that’s why we’re here. As her friends, her community, her people - we’re asking for your help.
