Hi! I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friends Duke + Simba (Duke’s dog). Please feel free to share this page if you feel compelled. Both Duke + Simba are longtime friends of mine and I'm just wanting to be supportive and get the word out. Thank you kindly! 


Message from Duke: 

My friend Simba, and for many of you, your friend too, has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his front left leg. 

Osteosarcoma is a bone tumor that rapidly eats away the bone, is very painful, and can become increasingly more painful if untreated. 

In the meantime, he seems to be doing just fine on his low dose of doggy pain pills. 

The long term approach for Simba to live a happy healthy pain-free life is an amputation of that front left leg from the scapula down. From what I know of the surgery, it seems like a pretty straightforward procedure and a costly one. 

I have no problem reaching out and asking for help from my amazing friends and family in the Facebook community and beyond because Simba would not hesitate to do it for me if the roles were reversed. 

Simba, as we know him, is going through a transformation and will become the most bad ass, handsome, lovely tripod you've ever seen! 

This is Duke, Simba's father, and I am asking you for your donation to help offset the rather sizable bill that will be due on the date of his surgery and the litany of expenses that go along with cancer - ranging from medications, supplements, procedures and rehabilitation.

In addition, love, positive thoughts, encouraging words are all just as welcome - so thank you! 

This lovely being has had a massive positive impact on my life and many others as well. As his father It is my duty to do whatever I can to honor this wonderful, gentle, kind being.
