Sometimes the people who give the most light are the ones who quietly carry the heaviest burdens.

Our dear friend Shelai is currently facing a serious medical crisis involving both of her eyes. She has experienced multiple retinal detachments and has undergone several urgent surgeries. The road ahead includes ongoing treatments, injections, medications, and follow-up care—much of which is not fully covered by insurance.

If you know Shelai, you know she is someone who shows up for others with kindness, humor, and heart. She has always been a steady presence in our community, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.

We are keeping details minimal out of respect for her privacy, but the reality is that the financial burden of this medical journey is significant. This fund is simply meant to help relieve some of that stress so she can focus on healing.
