The past few months have been a whirlwind of fear and faith. After countless appointments, I was officially diagnosed with a rare form of cancer — Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma.

The tumor was successfully removed from my neck, and I’m now undergoing radiation treatment. As a self-employed hairstylist, I’ve been unable to work since September, and without employer benefits, it’s been incredibly tough to keep up with medical and household expenses for me and my two young girls. As we all know life and expenses do not stop when you’re not your best self.
