Supporting Shani in Memory of Mike

Over Memorial Day weekend, our beloved sister Shani experienced the heartbreaking loss of her partner of 29 years, Mike.

Shani and Mike officially tied the knot on May 1, 2025 — a beautiful moment that sealed what we all already knew: they were soulmates. To us, Mike had been our brother-in-law for nearly three decades. A marriage certificate didn’t change how deeply we loved and embraced him as family.

Mike was a one-of-a-kind soul — funny, thoughtful, creative, and an incredible cook. Our kids loved him. We all did.

Shani and Mike were in the process of relocating to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to family. Now, with Mike gone, the need for that move has taken on new urgency for Shani. She’s grieving, navigating life without the love of her life, and facing the difficult logistics of uprooting her life alone.

We want to rally around Shani and help her carry out the plans she and Mike made together. Any contribution — no matter the size — will help ease her burden and get her one step closer to stability and healing.
