Supporting Sergio Lary on his Road to Recovery

On August 3rd Sergio checked into the emergency room with intense chest and abdominal pain. Since then he has been in the ICU in critical condition and undergone 4 surgeries. He has had a complete gastrectomy and will be facing more surgeries in the future, once he is healthy enough again. His medical condition is extremely rare and his surgeons and doctors say that it’s a miracle he has made it through what he’s been through. Serg is facing a long, and difficult road to recovery and even after that; a complete lifestyle change. He is expected to remain hospitalized for at least 6-8 weeks before the next procedure, and then is looking at months of recovering afterward. Prior to the emergency, Sergio was a self employed remodeler and restorer. Therefore he has always relied heavily on a healthy and strong body to complete his work. His family is starting this fundraiser in order to help pay some of Sergio’s bills during these difficult times when he is unable to earn an income, as well as any medical expenses not covered by insurance. Anyone that knows Sergio knows how hard working, caring, and generous he is. If anyone else were in his position he would do whatever he could to help. I hope we can do the same for him.
