In Loving Memory of Emin Muratovic — Supporting Senada and Her Boys
Hi everyone,
I’m writing this with a heavy heart that still can’t fully accept what has happened. As many of you already know, our dear Emin Muratovic passed away suddenly and tragically. He left behind his wife, Senada Pekaric-Muratovic, and their two wonderful boys, Isa and Eren.
Senada is not just my best friend — she’s my chosen sister. Someone I’ve grown up with, laughed with, lived life with… and whose strength I have always admired.
So many of you — friends from different places, countries, and time zones — have reached out with the same question I’ve asked myself:
“How can we help?”
This fundraiser is simply a way for all of us to show up — even from far away.
Emin was one of those rare people who brought others together effortlessly. And everyone who knew him knows this:
He was always the connection between friends.
The one who kept people close.
The one who checked in.
The one who made sure nobody was alone.
He gave so much of himself — without ever asking for anything in return. Emin was deeply loved, and his absence is hard to even put into words.
And honestly… we all know what Emin and Senada stood for.
They always built community. They always gave more than they took. They were the kind of people who made others feel welcome, supported, and seen.
Now, life has changed overnight. Senada is navigating the unimaginable — raising two boys who miss their father endlessly, carrying the emotional weight of grief, and handling everything that comes with suddenly losing your partner in life.
And this is where we come in.
Not because Senada is helpless — she isn’t. She is strong, capable, and full of heart.
But because that’s what community is. And because we all know that grief is heavy enough — the last thing anyone needs on top of it is financial pressure.
This is simply friends coming together to do what friends do:
To take one piece of the burden off her shoulders.
To create stability where we can.
And to make sure she and the boys can focus on healing — without the constant stress of “How will we manage everything now?”
If you’re reading this, you probably loved Emin, or you love Senada, or you’ve been touched in some way by the kind of people they are. If you can donate or share, it truly means more than words can say.
Thank you for remembering Emin — and for showing up with love.
With all my heart,
Adela Clayton ❤️
