Supporting Sean Through Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
On February 2, 2024, Sean and his family received devastating and utmost shocking news. Sean, a kind, funny, empathetic, and athletic 17 year old, was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-Cell ALL), which is a rare form of blood cancer. Sean has a long and bumpy road ahead with 2 years of aggressive chemotherapy and various treatments where he will be in and out of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia frequently, sometimes for weeks at a time. Sean has already endured 2 weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Oncology Unit, a lumbar puncture (spinal tap), chemotherapy, MRI’s, a bone marrow aspirate, and many blood products.
Sean will need to pause on his hockey and baseball playing, life-guarding, animal rescuing days during treatment. Now it’s OUR turn to step up and support Sean and the entire Murphy family. Expenses will mount quickly with frequent bridge tolls, garage parking fees, cafeteria meals, gas…not to mention medical bills and navigating home costs while Sean’s parents remain at his bedside and take time off from work.
Monetary support will go directly to Sean and his parents (Kerry and Eddie), to aid in the above. Additionally, so often siblings get “lost” in the chaos of having a sick child and it would mean the world to the Murphy family if we could also surround Sean’s younger sister Josie with love and care. Cancer is a family diagnosis, so let’s help ease financial burden so they can focus on what’s most important…KICKING CANCERS BUTT!
Sean, you are a fierce WARRIOR and this is a life-changing journey that you will win! You’ve got a village here to support you.
